An easy, delicious hummus recipe to try at home!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tin Chickpeas (roughly 400g)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Tahini
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 clove Garlic

Method:

Add the chickpeas, olive oil, tahini, garlic and salt to a food processor. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze in the juice, catching the pips with your other hand. Now all your ingredients are in, blend until the hummus has a smooth creamy texture.

Serve topped with a drizzle of oil and a pinch of paprika.

Alternatives:

  • Add roasted garlic instead of raw - just add five cloves instead of 3, roast for 30 minutes at 180C
  • Add beetroot for a punchy pink!
  • Add curry powder and fresh coriander for an eastern twist.
  • Add hemps seed hearts and replace the olive oil with hemp oil - this boosts your omegas and tastes delicious and nutty!
